Smart Activation with Safe Humane Technology:
This 100% pet-safe electric collar will deactivate if it's activated 6 times within 1 minute, and resumes its functionality after 2 minutes. The collar will discharge weak shocks initially if your dog barks. The discharge frequency and intensity will gradually increase if your dog continues to bark. Tips: 
1. Please fully charge (at least 5-6 hours) both remote and collar units before first use. Also, please remember to fully charge them at least once a month if not used regularly- this will keep the lithium polymer batteries in optimal condition. You can use any smartphone or tablet charger you have with the charging cable provided.
2. Fit the collar correctly. You should be able to insert one finger under the collar with the collar fitted snugly.
3, Remove any other collar before putting on the anti-bark collar.
4. To avoid your dog from getting collar-wise, please do not leave the collar on for a prolonged period of time unsupervised. When the collar gets your dog's attention, reinforce the no-bark behavior with a verbal command.
5. Avoid using the collar if your dog's barking is motivated by fear or anxiety. 
6. Do not encourage your dog to bark at sounds, such as pedestrians or dogs passing by your home, birds outside the window, etc. 
7. Never encourage your dog to bark at some noises (a door slamming, people walking by) and discourage him from barking at others. Be consistent!

Purchase for young dogs

We purchased this for our year old GSD and started it on the buzz cycle- well that didn’t work after increasing it so we switch it to the shock cycle- she realized that she could bark, then stop after the warning and then bark again. So what we hear is her barking the beeps she stops then she barks again.

This is a possible behavioral outcome after using these collars. It is not recommended to leave the collar on for a long time unsupervised. The collar will attract their attention when they bark, and your immediate feedback reaction/command will reinforce the message not to bark. You can try re-conditioning their behavior by putting on the collar without turning it on for a week or two. After that, then randomly set it to beep/vibrate/shock to catch their attention when they bark. And every time they bark, give them a verbal command to stop. Hope you can give this a try.

Flimsy slippery nylon collar

Unit is too heavy for the collar and will rotate down so the sensors aren't even touching the dogs neck even when put on tighter. The collar material is slippery and without a regular buckle it loosens up when the dogs scratch their neck or shake their heads.
The beeping and vibration was enough to confuse the 2 dogs for a while and they would stop barking immediately, but after about 30 days the novelty wore off and they bark about the same with or without the collars on.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback very much. Per our offline email, I hope you have been able to recondition your dogs after they had become collar-wise. As mentioned, these training collars should be used with supervision. The collars are meant to get their attention when they bark, and you would then reinforce their training with a verbal command. Hope your dogs are now better behaved.

Not very effective

It worked in the beginning but they became adjusted to it really quickly

You can try to outsmart them by changing the settings randomly to beep, vibrate and shock (at different levels). Also, it is not recommended to leave the collar on for a long time unsupervised. The collar is supposed to attract their attention when they bark, and your immediate feedback reaction/command would reinforce the message not to bark. Hope you can give this a try and see if it works better with your smart dogs.
